Cody’s Weekend Rebound

It was another wild weekend of hoops. Let’s take a look at some of the things you may have missed while watching football.

Luka Doncic messed around and put up a 36-16-15. Unfortunately, the Mavs still lost.

D’Aaron Fox dropped 43 PTS with 14 AST and 4 STL. Unfortunately, the Kings still lost.

Kemba Walker played in his first game of the season. The Celtics are still without Jayson Tatum so they sure could have use some Kemba magic. Shooting 23% and losing by 30 to the Knicks(??) was not exactly “magical.”

The Rockets were very shorthanded without Wall, Gordon, and Cousins in a loss to the Spurs. Christian Wood continues his stellar play, however, dropping 24 PTS and 18 REB.

James Harden woke up, probably had some black coffee, and casually dropped a 32-12-14 triple double in his first game for the Nets, in a win against the Magic. Durant scored 42 on 26 shots. It’s working so far.

Jerami Grant might just earn himself a permanent spot in this recap. He had 24-9-6 with 2 STL and 4 BLK against the Hornets on Saturday. He also threw in 3 threes for good measure. It’s remarkable.

Ja Morant came back from his ankle injury and the Grizzlies beat the 76ers. Welcome back.

Trae Young is averaging 27% shooting from the field in his last 5 games. After a hot start, the Hawks have plummeted back to earth and are 5-7.

The Lakers continue to roll, stretching their league best record to 11-3.

Andre Drummond had a big Friday night with 33-23-3, 2 STL and 2 BLK. Even better, the Cavs beat the Knicks.
